| Fifth Graders Make Geometry Houses | ||||||||||||||||
|
March 2006: Two fifth grade math classes built models of houses incorporating important geometric elements. These included: equilateral triangles, parallelograms, quadrilaterals, line of symmetry, and other shapes. The students were evaluated using a rubric which evaluated accuracy, creativity, neatness, and timeliness. The children had a lot of fun completing the projects, and making connections between geometry and the real world |
