First Grade Art Show - May 2005

First graders were asked to compose a realistic scene depicting something they would like to enjoy with their families. After studying the realism of artist Mary Cassatt, oil pastels were used to create these beautiful pictures. Upon completion, they appeared to fall into four collections: Balloons, Vacations, Hanging Out, and Animals. The drawings were displayed on windows in the hallways around our school.
